Coast Mountains School District serves a student population of approximately 4,200 students in nineteen schools including three alternate programs and a trades learning center that encompasses dual-credit, distance learning and continuing education programs. The geographical area covered by the district is of equivalent size to the country of Finland. International students are placed in Caledonia Secondary and Mount Elizabeth Middle Secondary which offer many courses designed to enrich the school experience for all pupils. Located in the city of Terrace, CMSD has a small-town atmosphere, and the urban area is located on a series of natural flat benches, or terraces (hence the name) within the broad Skeena River Valley. The region experiences a temperature coastal climate with warm summers and mild winters. Residents of the City of Terrace are surrounded by mountainous terrain, lush forest growth, mild climate, productive salmon streams, and rivers offered in the natural sanctuary around Terrace and on the small islands in the Douglas Channel.

Chilliwack School District — British Columbia
The Chilliwack School District International Student Program has been offering an outstanding educational program to students from around the globe for over 20 years. Whether here for a semester, a year, or to graduate, International students are able to choose from the same extensive and varied learning opportunities that Chilliwack students enjoy. The International Student Program provides participants with challenging academic studies and English language learning opportunities in classrooms where they are fully integrated with fellow Canadian students and thus it is a totally immersive experience. Chilliwack can be described as an outdoor enthusiast’s paradise. It is characterized by beautiful private gardens and public parks, rich in their displays of brilliant flowers and towering trees. Beautiful glacier-fed lakes, streams, and waterfalls, as well as hiking and biking trails are only minutes away from any point in the community. People in Chilliwack enjoy a variety of outdoor pursuits, including water sports, camping, mountain-biking and fishing.

Sooke School District — British Columbia
Sooke School District has approximately 13,250 students and serves the communities of Sooke, Port Renfrew, Metchosin, Highlands, Langford and Colwood. Surrounded by forests, ocean, mountains and lakes, Sooke SD is located a short distance from Victoria, the capital city of the province of British Columbia. Located on the southern tip of Vancouver Island, Sooke is one of Vancouver Island’s oldest communities with amazing outdoor adventure opportunities and unique attractions to explore. From stunning lighthouses, museums, and historic parks including Ed Macgregor Park, and Sooke Potholes Provincial Park, to vibrant beach spots and thrilling zipline tours, there’s something for everyone.

Campbell River School District — British Columbia
The Campbell River School District is located on the east coast of central Vancouver Island, extending north to Sayward and south to the Oyster River, as well as several islands. The area has a combined population of approximately 60,000 residents. The school district serves approximately 5,500 students in 17 schools with two secondary schools, Carihi Secondary and Timberline Secondary accepting international students from grades 9 to 12. Both schools offer comprehensive academic courses as required of all British Columbia high schools such as English, Math, Social Studies, Sciences and Physical Education.
